Tip 12 – Take the weather into account

A stuck garage door is one of the most annoying and frustrating things to happen to a person, yet it is often something we can control.  Taking the weather into account is vital, because the cold might make your equipment a bit slow.  In colder weather, the pressure of your opener needs to be adjusted, but it is better to leave this for the professionals, seeing as too much force can lead to a door not working at all.

Tip 11: The Remote and Children

You like pushing the button to open a door, do you not?  Well, just like you do, children enjoy pushing a button to open a garage door.  Well, to be honest, children enjoy pushing buttons in general.  Unfortunately, giving this control to children – even if it is supervised – is never a good idea.  They enjoy it so much and will be tempted to play with the remote when you are not around – especially when you aren’t around – and this can cause a lot of damage to your belongings, and especially your car.  This is something you will want to avoid.
